Belton ISD: What Are Elementary Students Reading in their School Library?

These are books found in Pirtle Elementary's own online library catalog.

Here are scanned pages from Hurricane Child:

Here are some scanned pages from I Am Jazz:

Here are screenshots from Birdie and Me:

The narrator's little brother is gender nonconforming.

Birdie's teacher doesn't like the purse he wears to school.

The narrator's friend, Janet, asks her little brother if he's gay.

Here are screenshots from the book George:

George is a boy who identifies as a girl and uses the pronouns she/her.

George saw on TV that "she" could transition to a girl.

George's friend is okay with him really being a boy and they discuss transgender and transitioning.

George tells his mother that he's really a girl.

George's Mom doesn't support him being a girl and playing a girl's part in the school play. However, the school's principal wants to be sure that George knows she is supportive of him being a girl.

This is the cover of the book All Because You Matter. Don't children of all races matter? Why do we need to convince children of one race that they matter?

Here are screenshots from the book Ghost Boys:

In this fiction novel, Jerome who is 12 is shot by a white police officer who mistakes the toy gun for a real gun. Rick's friends are talking among each other.

Get out your Indoctrination Bingo cards for Chapter Seven! If you have gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, LatinX, preferred pronouns, and non-binary on your card you will definitely be a winner. Notice the lesbian teacher and her wife mentioned in this chapter!

Here are scanned pages from The Inexplicable Logic of My Life. This is an ebook about high school students (who shouldn't be reading it, either). Parents should check to see why this book is included in a library book search at an elementary school and if elementary students can download it.

What's in your child's school library? Search the online library catalog under "gender", "gay", "lesbian", "racism", "prejudice", "skin", "families", "LGBTQ", etc. Also, search for titles of specific books since books often don't appear in a subject search. Get informed and get involved! Let's save our kids from indoctrination.

I have not provided a place to comment on my site!  I am simply a concerned "undercover conservative" teacher who wants to inform others.

I ask you to please share this information with other concerned parents and citizens.  You may agree with what I have said, or you may not.  It is okay for people to disagree! Please use my blog to start conversations. It is time that we get off of social media and have genuine authentic conversations with each other.  That is when real change and ACTION happen

Thank you for your concern. God bless you all and God bless America.
