Anti-racist Baby
This book is found in public school libraries, including elementary school libraries, in Texas and is part of the Marxist Critical Race Theory agenda in our schools. Here are some scanned pages from the book. Is this appropriate for kids?
This book is extremely racist. The cover page even mentions "the imaginations of stat violence and white supremacy". Also notice that the author writes about "equity", not "equality". And, we should see all colors and not be "color-blind" because the Marxists WANT us to focus on race and color as the visual reminder that some people are the oppressors (white privileged, white supremacists) and others are the oppressed. Dividing us against each other helps them to further their agenda. And this is a PICTURE book aimed at K-3 children! Why are we letting children read books that teach them that just because of the color of their skin they don't have the same opportunities as others? This is false, and it teaches them to not even try. Why are we teaching some children that just because of the color of their skin they are evil and racist and must take responsibility for the wrongs of past generations? What does that do to the self esteem of these children? Also, imagine the classroom conversations that might take place if this book were read aloud to the class by a Marxist teacher.
There is also a section at the end of the book for parents and caregivers about how to talk to kids about racism, so obviously it is the author's hope that this book WILL be read aloud to children and discussed.
He writes, "It is critical that we begin explicit conversations about race and racism with our children from a young age." Kids are not naturally racist, and they naturally play with kids of all different races. As a teacher, I have seen this on the playground.
He writes, "You might find that kids default to white authority figures in their imaginations." and "What is the effect of setting the default authority figures to white?"
He writes, "Help your child explicitly name the race of the people around them...."
He writes, "You and the child can reflect on the racial makeup of your school and neighborhood."
Why???? The Marxists MUST have everyone focused on race because it divides us, that's why.
We must get informed and involved about what information is being fed to our children!
