Explorations in art....and propaganda
When you are looking at textbooks for evidence of propaganda that goes against our country, you have to realize that authors don't have to actually write the words, "America is bad." or "America does not contribute positively to the rest of the world as other countries do." They are usually much more subtle than that, but those messages are still indoctrinated into our children.
A good example is in the Explorations in Art books published by Davis Publications in 2013 and used in elementary school. We will examine the books adopted on the TEA instructional materials bulletin list for Grades 1 and 4. (Why do students in elementary school need TEXTBOOKS about art, anyway? Just let them draw and paint and express themselves, which is what is developmentally appropriate for them and is what they need!! Textbooks definitely help with indoctrination, so that might be a reason for first and fourth graders to have art textbooks.)
The pages below are taken from the Explorations in Art book used in Grade 1.
Yes, that is true. People do make art everywhere in the world.....except for in the United States if you believe these pages from the book. They make art in Canada, but not in the U.S. This is propaganda to make children believe that the U.S. is not important and has not made contributions in the world. Therefore, we should accommodate and apologize to all of the other countries because THEY have contributed and THEY are important. Why not mention the United States and its contributions to the world of art? Especially since this book will be used in the United States?
Here are pages from the Grade 4 book. You will notice something interesting!
They have used the exact same pages in the Grade 4 book! Again, why not mention the art contributions made by America (with artists such as Norman Rockwell, Georgia O'Keeffe, Andy Warhol, Mary Cassatt, and John Singer Sargent to name a few)? America contributed to art, too! But, leaving our country out contributes to the Marxist propaganda. The indoctrination starts early!
