How much is spent on education in Texas?

According to Texas Smart Schools, during the 2018-2019 school year, 54.1 billion was spent on public schools in Texas.

Here is the breakdown:

32.3 billion was spent on instruction, 1.8 billion was spent on transportation, 5.7 billion was spent on plant services, 3.1 billion was spent on food services, 7.8 billion was spent on administration and support, and 3.4 billion was spent on "other". Do you see areas that could be trimmed from the budget a little? And 3.4 billion is a lot to spend on unspecified stuff! Don't taxpayers deserve an exact list of where their tax dollars are going?

I have not provided a place to comment on my site!  I am simply a concerned "undercover conservative" teacher who wants to inform others.

I ask you to please share this information with other concerned parents and citizens.  You may agree with what I have said, or you may not.  It is okay for people to disagree! Please use my blog to start conversations. It is time that we get off of social media and have genuine authentic conversations with each other.  That is when real change and ACTION happen

Thank you for your concern. God bless you all and God bless America.
