Are they trying to separate kids from their parents and their parents' values? Do they have another agenda?

Is this appropriate for middle school and high schools kids to read? Remember, kids typically enter high school at 14 years of age. Think of 14-year-old girls you know. Can they emotionally handle reading this? Would you be comfortable reading this out loud to a 14-year-old or to a 16-year-old? (In fact, you could even be arrested.) This is in the library for them to read! Should they be provided this for reading material in school?
These are just two examples, and there are many more books with graphic descriptions of sex in our public school libraries. These books don't have academic value, obviously, and with the low test scores in our public schools students should be reading books with academic value so they can actually learn something that will help them academically.
