Who Will Speak at the Texas Library Association Annual Conference? (You shouldn't be surprised....)
Drag Queen Story Hour is being hosted and featured by public libraries all over the country. There is a website you can visit at www.dragqueenstoryhour.org in case you think this cannot possibly be true. The photo above is on their website....in case you think this cannot possibly be true! The Marxists have an actual organization that promotes this, a non-profit organization of course! Here is a screenshot of their homepage:
I don't even want to know what "drag creatures" are, but you get the point about this filth. They even have a Drag Queen Story Hour Chapter in El Paso, Texas! Drag queens reading to kids at public libraries is also going on in Austin, Houston, Dallas and even in Wichita, Kansas public libraries even though they don't have Drag Queen Story Hour Chapters in those cities yet. In 2019, the community in Evansville, Indiana rallied together to cancel a drag queen reading "gender fluid" stories to young children at their public library. So, it isn't just in the big urban cities, and conservative citizens everywhere need to remain vigilant.
Here is another screenshot from their website.
This is their agenda....to "capture the imagination and play of the gender fluidity of childhood and gives kids glamorous, positive, and unabashedly queer role models." This is why the recent bill in Florida is called the "Anti-Grooming Bill"- because pedophiles groom kids by talking to them about sex and gender at an early age. The goal is to desensitize children by exposing these things to them early.
So, it may not surprise you that Kim Roberts wrote an article for The Texan on April 14, 2022 titled "Texas Library Association Features ‘Drag Performer’ and ‘Antiracist’ at Annual Conference" where she reported about the upcoming conference in April of 2022 and wrote that:
While parents are expressing concerns about the explicit content of books found in local school libraries, the Texas Library Association (TLA), a nonprofit organization to which over 6,000 librarians and library workers belong, is featuring a “drag performer” and critical race theorist as keynote speakers at its annual conference from April 25-28 in Fort Worth.
According to its website, TLA’s membership includes public, school, and academic librarians.
Justin Johnson, whose performer name is Alyssa Edwards, will appear in drag and “talk about inclusion, growing up in the Deep South and the importance of acceptance and representation.” His presentation will be on the evening of the first day of the conference.
Ibram X. Kendi, who is a professor at Boston University, a well-known proponent of critical race theory, and the author of “How to Be an Antiracist,” will speak on the second day of the conference.
Nadine Strossen, a lawyer and former president of the American Civil Liberties Union, will speak at the conference about “the history and aims of censorship, current efforts at banning materials in libraries, and how libraries, communities, and friends of libraries can unite their efforts to expand access to free speech as a counter to these efforts.”
If you are wondering why Texas public school libraries have so many books that indoctrinate kids in the LGBTQ+ and CRT agendas, look at the group that public school librarians belong to! The librarians themselves have been indoctrinated in these agendas since they were at the university, and they continue to be indoctrinated.
