These books might go against some parents' values. They are AVAILABLE for kids to read in the library or check out. This is just a drop in the bucket compared to the number of these kinds of books in Irving ISD school libraries.

Page 33 directs kids to resources. One of these is The Trevor Project. Let's look at what The Trevor Project is.
When kids get on The Trevor Project website, they are directed how to do a "quick exit" if parents etc. walk up behind them.

This is their homepage.

Kids can reach out to a counselor and talk with that counselor.

Kids can also use resources on the website.

When you search the resources under "religion", these are the results.

Kids can also meet other LGBTQ "young people" in the TrevorSpace chat.

In the TrevorSpace chat, 13-year-old kids can chat with 24-year-olds. Of course, people younger than 13 or older than 24 can chat in this group. This chat space is an obvious problem, and kids can chat here without their parents' knowledge or permission.
