Sex Education In Irving ISD Library Books

  • A. Teacher

Warning! These books have very graphic visual and written descriptions of sex including homosexual/lesbian sex. Proceed with caution when viewing the scanned pages from these books.

In Texas, by law parents must give consent for their child to take part in sex education. However, kids can check these books out or read them in the library without their parents' knowledge or consent. Parents need to ask their school board to change district policy so that this does not happen.

If a book has not been checked out, it could be a new addition to the library or students might be reading it in the library instead of checking it out. These books are AVAILABLE to kids in their school libraries. And, parents might not want their kids learning about what is in these books.

Notice how the author says "two people who have male bodies" instead of "men" and "pregnant person" instead of "pregnant woman". This is the language they are teaching children. And language leads to thought. This is what they want children to think.

Also, notice the graphic images. They know it's very difficult for kids to get images out of their heads.

Notice the reasons for women getting an abortion!
