One of the most surprising things to me when I first started researching how schools indoctrinate kids (two years ago last month!) is how Christians and their beliefs are slandered in library books. Here is how Christians are often portrayed:
violent, angry groups
mothers are distant and unloving
fathers are angry and abusive
bigots, homophobes
closed-minded, simple-minded
To be fair, there are some books that portray Christians in a positive way, but it is disturbing how many books push the Marxist agenda which includes:
getting rid of God in schools and society in general (prayer out of school, "under God" taken out of the pledge, etc.)
separating kids from their parents and their parents' values so they can be indoctrinated in the Marxist agenda
portraying religion as bad (unenlightened, cult, extremist, radical, etc.) because if you don't worship God then the government is your God and they are in control
trying to show how Christian beliefs are wrong/sexist/homophobic etc.
causing kids to question their faith in a way parents might not agree with or to be embarrassed by their faith
ridiculing Christians and their beliefs
Here are some of the books in Northeast ISD schools in their own online library catalogs as of this week that portray Christians and/or their beliefs in a negative light so that kids are indoctrinated to question their faith and/or not conform to their parents' values. I went to the online catalog for Churchill High School and then expanded the search to included all libraries by clicking the "advanced search" button. I have included information screenshots from their own online library catalogs showing where the books are located as well as scanned pages from the books. For some books, I have included only a sample page or two which illustrate the theme of the book. For other books I have included a bigger sample of scanned pages.
This is in eBook form. A lesbian teenager is sent to a Christian gay conversion therapy camp.
Zenobia is a teen who is transitioning from a boy to a girl.
You have read about "religious bigotry", "religious intolerance", a teen thanking God for letting him transition to a girl, a Christian father asking his son to hit him saying "I deserve to be spanked", and a girl suggesting that God be called "she" in church.
Notice how these books address Marxist agendas including abortion, LGBTQ, feminism, etc. That is why Christians are portrayed in a negative way in these books. Christians and other religious people typically don't go along with these agendas. Remember, Marxists want to get rid of God and religion so that they can separate kids from their parents and kids can be activists for the Marxists.
